Harper will do anything to save the people she cares about…but is escape even an option?
Harpy’s Escape is book two in the Supernatural Retrieval Agency series written by Laura Greenwood, an urban fantasy with a harpy lead and a slow burn m/f romantic sub-plot.4
With no one believing them about Ocypete, Harper and her team are left to try and investigate without any official backing.
When a couple of new leads come in, they learn that things are a lot worse than they first expected, and if they don’t act fast, then they risk something far worse than a new crime boss.
Fighting crime might be one thing on Harper’s mind, but her growing relationship with Elias is also part of the equation and she finds herself spending an increasing amount of time in his arms.
Can they start building a case against Ocypete that people are going to believe, or is she going to get the better of them?5
I feel like that Paula Abdul song “Two steps forward, one step back”, but in this case it’s one step forward for the team and two steps back. Laura Greenwood has created quite a case for the Supernatural Retrieval Agency.
I don’t want to give anything away, so I’m trying to be careful with what I say. Ocypete is cleaning up loose ends while leading our team on a merry chase. Unfortunately, Harper gets caught in her web and that is where Greenwood leaves us.
Mind you this is not before giving us a little bit of romance between Elias and Harper. All of the good stuff happens off the page which makes this a clean and sweet romance. I think Cupid has definitely stolen my heart with her sense of humor and I cannot wait to read her book.
I can’t wait to see how Greenwood wraps this mystery up. I hope this isn’t the only time we get to see the team from the Supernatural Retrieval Agency.
I received a free copy of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
