Mini-Review: Harpy’s Mission by Laura Greenwood

Harper has wanted to join the Agency for as long as she can remember, but even she never expected to be thrown in the deep end on her first day.

Harpy’s Mission is book one in the urban fantasy Supernatural Retrieval Agency Series, which includes a romantic m/f sub-plot.

After she helps uncover a secret crime ring within the city, she’s sent on a rescue mission to get a vital witness to safety. But when the plan goes sideways, Harper and her partner have to work out why, and how they can fix it.

Can this harpy complete her mission?13

My thoughts

I have to be honest. I only wanted to read this series because I am totally crushing on the Ravenborn Cover Designs version of Harper. The minute I saw the cover, I was all, “hubba hubba, yes please!”

Laura Greenwood knows how to create heroines to root for and Harper is no different. It’s her first day on the job and she is trying so hard (chuckle). The best part about Harper is that she is still learning and growing, and we are along for the ride.

I have to admit that I figured out the mystery in this one. But then I read a lot of mysteries and Harper is new (chuckle).

There is a duplicate paragraph in the book, which I had to read twice as it blends right into each other. There is also one spelling error. These are the only editing issues in the book.

Harpy’s Mission kicks off the “Supernatural Retrieval Agency” series and the chase for Ocypete. I am actually looking forward to this showdown between Harper and Ocypete. You know it’s going to come. It should be fun chasing the leads heading to Ocypete. Can’t wait to read the next book.

I received a free copy of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
