Review: The Flickering Flame by Alyce Caswell

A woman who wants to be engulfed in flames meets the Flame herself.

Synopsis:

Grace Pendergast is a disgraced reporter who thinks the galaxy would be better off without her. But then she meets Finara, the goddess of fire. As sparks ignite between them, Grace must choose between carrying out her original plans – or accepting an eternity at Finara’s side.

I do not want to give too much away as this is a quick read novella, but Alyce Caswell can pack in the drama, action, and magic.

The Flickering Flame is a story you want to have keep burning. It is hot. Never mind Grace’s backstory…holy sugar. Grace is definitely the heart of Flame, whereas Finara definitely knows how to light things up. (laugh)

I hope to see them in future books, because Caswell laid down enough crumbs to have this story go a lot further. I cannot wait.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
