Mini reviews of books that I read during the month of September.
The Nidderdale Murders by J.R. Ellis

Intrigue and murder during grouse hunting season can be a dangerous time in J.R. Ellis’ The Nidderdale Murders (Thomas & Mercer, 2020). There are red herrings and intrigue behind the story. It reminds me of an Agatha Christie book, but without the pizzazz of Christie’s work. It’s a good mystery.

Rescue Me by Naomi Martin

I loved the first book in the “Sapphire Bay High” series and I was expecting the second book: Rescue Me (2020) by Naomi Martin to be just as excellent. I was disappointed. I did not care about Tatum and it was just a “run of the mill” RH book. I think if Break Me had not been so excellent then I would not have such high expectations for Rescue.
