Review: Politics of Magic by L.C. Mawson

One last fight to bring it all down…

So, we’re probably screwed. The Council have made it clear that they intend to take back the Amazons, no matter what.

And I’m not sure we can stop them.

But if we can – if we can claim just this one victory – the Council will have lost control of the Witches, and the rest of their little empire will fall.

Every victory so far has come with a cost, the only question is, if we manage this, what will it take?4

The end?! Say it’s not so! It is way too soon. I am not ready. I love all of these characters so much.

L.C. Mawson ends the “Ember Academy for Young Witches” series  with drama, romance, and flair in Politics of Magic

It took me a minute to write this review as I was still recovering from the aftershocks of Advanced Combat Magic. (laugh) Mawson does know how to pack in the surprises. Holy sugar! So here we are suddenly in a poly relationship with our two lovely ladies and one really legit superhero to be in Amy. As a poly girl myself, I am so happy to finally see a lesbian poly relationship in a book. This is a topic I talk about constantly as it is a missing genre in sapphic lit today.  Thank you L.C. Mawson!

Politics is about more than romance as Mawson takes on equality and unfortunately some heroes have to fall for others to continue to fight. Mawson does not shy away from the realities of battle. I think I love Mawson all the more for it. Mawson keeps it real in a fictionalized fantasy world. At times the battles seemed as real as what I was watching on my television screen – minus the magic of course.

In case you have not realized it yet…I love this book.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
