Cover Design: Design by Definition

Welcome to Grimm Academy, where fairy tale characters go to escape their foretold fate.4

Sent to Grimm Academy by her jealous step-mother, Ella is determined to make the most of the opportunity.

With her friends by her side, and her dress-making lessons with Rapunzel progressing well, she’s starting to think she can avoid her prophecy after all. But when her dress is ruined the night before a masked ball, she has to face the truth.

Can she stop her prophecy by midnight?5

Pumpkins And Proms is the second book of the Grimm Academy series and is based on the fairy tale of Cinderella.4

A fairytale I am familiar with finally! (laugh)

Laura Greenwood gives us her version of Cinderella in Pumpkins and Proms. I like this version and will promote this one over the old one any day of the week. Greenwood creates the best female characters and Ella is no different. Ella is strong, caring, and is always putting her friends first. She even puts them before boyfriends – girlcode!

I had no clue how Greenwood was going to spin this tale. She kept everything a surprise, even to Ella. I loved the romance between Florian and Ella. I thought it was comical and supportive. I love the friendship between these women. I will admit to some concern regarding Marigold and that is all I am saying on that one.

Pumpkins has plenty of laughs and an old-fashioned rom-com feel. Cinderella has never looked so good.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
