Invaded. Conquered. Three aliens made me their bride.
When warlord aliens invade Earth, I watch as my world crumbles.
Their mothership lowers above my head. A great beacon of light shines over the city.
They don’t want Earth. They want me…
Three brutal aliens force me to my knees. They accept no peace treaty.
They demand one thing: A bride.
That is final.4
Alien Bride is the first Penelope Woods book I have read and I have to be honest I am not quite sure what I think about the book.
I like Emma’s growth as a person in Bride. I think her ability to be self-aware under such dire circumstances is remarkable. Woods created a strong heroine in Emma.
I have no problems with the sex. It is heavily detailed and includes spanking and degradation.
The guys’ backstory is deplorable. Woods creates a terrible world for them. All of which sets up the premise of the book.
I just never liked the guys. They never grew on me at any point in the story so I did not care about them in relation to Emma or their survival. Hmmm…maybe y’all will have a different opinion.
The premise of the book is a good one. I really like Emma. So give Alien Bride a read and let me know what you think.
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
