She had incredible powers, but will it be enough?

Synopsis:
While the criminal underworld shifts, Academy Bloodstone adjusts to having a fresh-faced Alpha around. As threats from all sides wage war on the innocent, a new team must take up the mantle and fight against the onslaught.
Lena Silver was used to the spotlight. With her fame and fortune gone, she’s focused on her new career—a covert operative for the Academy. But as two worlds collapse into chaos, Lena struggles to balance her relationships and her duty as an Alpha. And her new team will learn the price of failure.
I will immediately confess that I started this series with Emerald Firestone and I am not going to do Henry G. Taygar or the book any justice with this review.
Firestone is the third book in the “Alpha” series and once again I did not read the blurb before reading and I felt like I had been dropped into the middle of a television series that is fast-moving and has lots of characters. I was right. (laugh)
There are a lot of characters and there is a lot of backstory to this book. There is also plenty of action and drama. I probably would have seen some of it coming had I read the previous two books in the series (smh).
My recommendation: start with Bloodstone Academy because if this book is any indication the series is worth it.
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
